Cornerstone Bank, formerly First National Bank of York, received it's charter on April 22, 1882, with a mission to meet the financial needs of central Nebraska. Surviving the pioneer days, the great depression, and a bank robbery in 1933, the bank has grown through the past 128 years to have 30 locations in 21 communities throughout Central Nebraska. Total assets of the bank have grown to over $900 million, compared to $23 million in 1970.
